Thierry Deschemin, a passionate artist

He tells us about the backstage of the Enfoirés show.   " Magical ", " it's a real family ", "once a year, we are gathered for the same cause ". These are the words used naturally by Thierry Deschemin when we asked him about the Enfoirés' annual rendezvous. He talked about an " exceptional experience ", that he has loved to relive every year for thirteen years.   Behind the scenes, the atmosphere is childlike as he said himself, and " even tough there is pressure, everybody is in a good mood, we work with great pleasure, we have fun while staying professional ". Him and his team worked during the five days of the tour, doing the 40 artists hair. From Jenifer to Garou, passing by Mimi Mathy or Jean-Jacques Goldman, all were surrounded by experts, hairdresser, for the touching up between the scenes, or even to give them their wig.

A winning team

So Four hairdressers, who make the most of their talent to enhance a unique type of show. In close collaboration with a make-up artists team, Thierry Deschemin and his three colleagues form a " department of love ", as the actress Claire Keim loves to call them. They are good listeners and creative, they form a " perfect team, that works in perfect harmony ", and Thierry Deschemin would not trade them " for all the gold in the world ".   In deed, one can only be glad to work with artists such as Anthony Mouix, studio hairdresser for several film shootings, Patrick Peloille, former hairdresser of Gainsbourg, or the young and talented Virginie Thielland ! This crack team is charming, and from now on the artists call them on rather than the usual crew that used to follow them everywhere they went several years ago.   Hair artists who, as the other show technicians, worked without a break during almost the four hours of the show, every night of the tour. Touching up hairstyle, wigs and accessories require, between every bit, a constant attention and professionalism. " We need everything to be perfect " said Thierry Deschemin, who added that : " we don't get bored during the show "!   

Hysterical laughter and performances

During the show, we can see some of the hairdressers team's creations, like a Marie-Antoinette wig that Pascal Obispo wears during a scene, the long blond hair that Jean-Jacques Goldman wears when he disguises himself as a Shiva God, Gad Elmaleh's blond wig or the hairpiece Patrick Fiori wears during the bit " Danse avec Bernard ". Besides, this hairpiece was Thierry Deschemin's idea : an addition made during the second performance, so that the character played by Patrick Fiori can be more hilarious. A conclusive initiative : the bit is screamingly funny !  

"We count on you"

When we asked Thierry Deschemin to describe his experience with the Enfoirés in one word, " passion " came to his mind. And this passion can be felt every time he talks about this experience or any good stories told by the people he worked with, and also when he talks about the commitment he displays in this human adventure.   One should not forget that it is above all else for the stripped people that the hairdresser, his team, the artists and all the participants committed themselves. Les Restos du Cœur, is a social and food help brought to the people in need, and to which Thierry Deschemin participates in his own way. In deed, through his initiative " Les Coiffeurs du cœur "(which today has thirty colleagues or so in France), he asked from his fellow members to support the cause by giving voluntarily their time to people who can not afford a hairdresser.   He also reminds us that " if we all participate, les Restos will then receive more help, and so he invites everyone who can to make donations, even if they are small ones. He claimed that " without Coluche it wouldn't exist … and without us, it wouldn't exist any more " to remind that solidarity is necessary for the Restos to work and be effective.  

A positive impact

Of course, such a commitment leads to a certain notoriety. Therefore, Thierry Deschemin said about his clients that they are " very proud and delighted that their hairdresser participate in this movement ", and it shows : they support him every time he comes back from the Enfoirés tour. The hairdresser wants to thank his clients, who stayed faithful to him during all this years, for their patience, for giving him their permission to go on tour.   When he is asked about is participation in the next Enfoirés edition, Thierry Deschemin said without hesitation : " 2000 %, I can't wait to participate ! » So, rendezvous next year for new adventures.
