After the tie & dye, this summer 2014, a new technique is born in the hairdressing salons: the splashlight. What is it ?

The splashlight is a light effect on the hair like a light spot illuminating a zone.
This projection of light is especially for the mid-lengths.
That way, the hair seems to be illuminated from the inside. The best is that the hair is not so much layered because the splash may become a beautiful stain ! Regarding the hairstyle, the hair can be straighten or wavy. The finesse remains on the skills of the colorist to choose the perfect shade for this iridescent result.
For that, it is not recommended to do that alone.
The aim is to light the hair around the face, the expert must notice the famous median zone to highlight and the good shade; on pain of giving a bigger aspect to your face. Indeed, if you know that the light dilates, imagine the visual impact: swollen aspect!
Our point of view :
This technique is interesting during the first application. The difficulty appears when you want to maintain the splashlight. You’ll need to lift up the light zone and recreate the work for the color around the splash.
