Back with the show Probst in Luxembourg with Christine Margossian

Christine Margossian, great talented and generous hairdresser, is back on stage after years of manager coaching, training and her recent partnership in Switzerland. She is back for us for the show Probst in Luxembourg. Sequence emotion.

Livecoiffure : It’s been a few years you haven't been on stage… this was very emotional?

Christine Margossian It's been exactly 4 years I haven't been on stage. The CAC – Centrale des Artisans Coiffeurs- for whom I’ve been working for 1 year, offered me to perform this show.
Of course I accepted because it was for me the possibility to express myself on stage in an artistic way and to reveal to those I haven’t seen for a while, what I am capable of. I wanted to show to the “ancient” that I am still here and to the “newcomers” who I am. No need to say that I was extremely happy! This was my first reaction then the nerves came, it can be very unpleasant, you can’t sleep sometimes but this boosts you too!

Livecoiffure : Performing this show requires hours of preparation before the day D, could you tell us about your upstream work and your team?

Christine Margossian First of all, I would like to thank Jacques Thill and Pascal Ferniot of the CAC to trust me to have offered me this opportunity.

When they told me in November that I was gonna participate to the show, I started to think seriously about what I was gonna perform. And for one month and half before the day D, I’ve been working in my workshop. I did some researches and designed my sketches then I started to create. I played with volumes and textures according to the my model’s hair, I used muses. I chose my team, I worked with very positive persons and I was very happy to be surrounded by them. There was a real osmosis between each of us!

Livecoiffure : What creation have you presented on stage and what was your inspiration?

Christine Margossian On stage, I presented with different boards, the content of my trainings. I showed that a hairdresser is able to link haircuts, cocktails and nights. I started with key words for my creations : Dynamism, modernity, joy and elegance! I had 5 minutes to do a haircut, 3 minutes for glamour waves and finally 4 minutes for the prestige hairstyle.

I had fun on the model because she had short hair just like me. I had to build the basic materials to create a long-lasting volume. When you have the idea, you can develop your creativity but you must control the technique so it can work! From there, I imagined one of the women in the forties then another board represented women of today with Sex and the City, working women. I creates several glamour and elegant hairstyles inspired from Gossip Girl in harmony with the high society of the Upper East Side. Finally, 3 similar models of the series Empire, were wearing sumptuous dresses and couture buns. The lights, the sound, the artistic expression and the stage, everything was in harmony.

Livecoiffure : And regarding the backstage, could you tell us a few titbits?

Christine Margossian To be honest, I was suffering physically! I hurt myself at different points and to be comfortable, I was wearing a tracksuit and after 8 hours in the backstage, my leg was so swollen that I couldn't take it off! [laughter]

But finally, I did it and the adrenaline helped me. When the mental is strong, the physical pain can be forgotten and you can do everything! Even if my heart was beating very fast before going on stage! There was an amazing ambiance in the team, I was really happy. I would like to thank the stage director Jean- François Veran, the house Denis Durantfor the prestige dresses, the young assistant hairdresser Moha, Valérie Dumond the makeup artist and the models of course.
