Bridal hairstyles, hairdressing shows, Francine Ladrière tells you everything!

Livecoiffure : Do you have any upcoming shows?

Francine Ladrière : I am going to participate, at the end of October, to an exceptional event in Milan, near the lake Como. This event, organized by Pietro Cianciolo, gathers many countries so each guest can show their hairdressing know-how and their creations. This is not a competition. The aim is to create and share this 2017 trend so everybody can show their vision of the future trends. This is interesting and enriching to observe the different hairdressing interpretations of each country.

I am proud to represent France at this hairdressing show! I am going there with a team to perform 2 shows, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with 10 models. My universe will be very French representing the Parisian elegance! I am very flattered to represent my country, It is like hairdressing J.O but without medals. [laughter] Each hairstylist shows their philosophy and their teaching skills. Transmitting my know-how is my credo! Also, I am going to participate to a very eccentric show, Fauvert, where will launch a new range of colors, an amazing tone on tone.

Livecoiffure : So you like sharing your know-how… In your opinion, what is the most important in the role of a hairdresser?

Francine Ladrière :Precise communication and being understood! Let me explain: when I was in Nice during a seminar, a person working for Air France told me she was “impressed” because she understood everything during my hairdressing presentation even though I was talking about solid geometry. When you are a hairdresser, you know about geometry because we use it everyday but if you want everybody to understand you, you need to use a plain language. It is very important that people understand you because the hairdresser is depreciated, degraded and suffers from competition. Whether it is about the hair colors in the supermarkets or the multiplication of tutorials on the Internet (for haircuts and hairdressing advice), the hairdresser must distinguish themselves by listening to the clients attentively and meeting their expectations. The hairdressing salons which offer new services to their clients and increase their turnover generally undergo trainings. A hairdresser should always follow the hairdressing news, the trends, make their clients dream become a reality and know the technical applications like contouring.
