very six months, the creators of the fashion world strive to bring new collections into existence. Every season hairdressers, fashion designers, and make-up artists redefine the female look once again.

This winter, the trend at L’Oréal Professionnel is one that has been inspired by the great Hollywood studios, a place where every woman dreams about being in the spotlight for just a moment or for a whole life-time! This journey leads us back to the fifties and sixties, the era of icons representing eternal beauty and femininity. Of course the objective of today’s trend is to be inspired by these beauties of yesterday and to recreate a contemporary look for the 21st century women! Another example where the retro-style has been re-interpreted can be found in the latest campaign of the Swedish giant H&M who chose the singer Lana Del Rey to represent their autumn collection. The campaign images portray Lana with a feline look in her eye and her hair voluminously combed back in the fashion of those days gone by. You too can treat yourself with a retro-inspired hairstyle done by "star hairdresser" Christine Margossian. Today, we make you discover the latest Collection »Retro-nouveau » interpreted by Christine Margossian for L’Oréal Professionnel.

Christine Margossian : “Rétro- Nouveau… is the inspiration of the Hollywood  symbol of the fifties for the women today. Timeless beauty, incandescent, they transmit us their femininity, their elegance. For this collection, I wanted to pay tribute to them and enable each woman to imagine themselves in the spotlight at a moment of the day or the night  and thus play one’s own role. The interpretation is completely modern with a first urban look styled/tousled, with a very “fifties” volume at the top of the head. Two versions are possible for the sophisticated nights, one with a round chignon with two hair-bands  as accessorizes and another with the hair untied and slightly crimped with a soft volume on the ends For the depth and the brilliance of the hair, a chocolate shade which sublimates everything.”
