Hair color change : what does it reveal about us ?

Some of you consider a hair color change as a way to distinguish yourself or to communicate a deep questioning. This is often the case for the teenagers who are constantly evolving and who use the hair language to better make themselves understand. This is more a transition which results later in something less impassioned.

Swapping a head for another one can be a ritual of passage. For others, the hair color like the haircut, are accessories. Those who change from brown to ginger, from ginger to blond enter in another psychological approach. Like the search of a new self-image that we can’t find sometimes. These persons are often in search of a stable identity. A new hair color takes place before everything between yourself and...yourself !

We are at the hairdresser’s and leaving the salon, we are confronted with the attitude of others. The eyes of others are then a real mirror of yourself. It can sometimes be painful if the reaction is not positive !

A new haircut, a new hair color generally go together. They aim at better accepting ourselves but throw others a line. We want to be pleased but also to seduce. Woe betide anyone who doesn’t obtain the expected result. Indeed, you may not recognize yourself when the change is too extreme. The desire is here at the beginning but in front of the fait accompli, the result may shock, traumatize. In this case, a feeling of discrepancy may appear. Fortunately the hair color is reversible.

Anyway, with haircut or hair color changes, the seduction approach is the motivation : but who do you want to seduce ? Yourself or the others ?  Up to you…
