The former Victoria’s Secret’s angel associates herself with Christine Headwear to lend support to the women suffering from allopecia.

We all suffer directly or indirectly from allopecia – the phenomenon related to hair loss. Among men baldness is often readily accepted but hair loss among women is a very difficult step at the physical and psychological level.
Hairstyles, haircuts or hair colors, short or long, woman’s hair is an integral part of her identity and her personality. It is also strongly associated to seduction and femininity.
That’s why the international organization Belle et Bien (Look Good Feel Better) offers free hair care and make up workshops for women suffering from allopecia resulting from a serious illness. These workshops aim to restore women’s self esteem. -

Naturally the Danish philanthropist and photographer, former Victoria’s Secret angel Helena Christensen who is very involved in the support of humanitarian and charitable causes, wanted to give special help to the organization by creating two accessories for these brave women.
She carries this project in partnership with Christine Headwear – a renowned Danish brand specializing in the creation of scarves and turbans made of natural fibers specifically for women suffering from allopecia.
As a solution, scarves and hats have become available, offered in, beige and blue, composed of bamboo fibers which enable the scalp to breathe and don’t irritate the skin (Turban-Scarf Akina, 44.95€ and hat Azure, 39.95€, Christine Headwear).
