Ideally you should have long hair to create this low chignon. If you are want to style your hair on your own for one of the last evenings of the Cannes Film Festival, here are a few tips - and a video - on how to go about it.
First of all, it is important to prepare your hair properly.
That is why we suggest you straighten from the roots with a round brush and then curl the tips for more suppleness and movement. Divide your hair into two parts. Then divide the back part again to make a ponytail. Place your two sponges under the ponytail – this is what will give you volume below the nape of your neck.
All you need to do now is cover the sponges with the remaining hair. The best way to go about this is lock by lock to vary the shape and overlay. You will need large and small bobby pins to hold the locks in place and hairspray or styling spray. A final gloss spray to give your hair that added shine and you are ready to go.
You will certainly be one of the belles of any ball.
