1. Take care of your hair
This advice is always recommended no matter your hairstyle. However, damaged hair will always look messy even if you put your heart into your blow drying. For a beautiful, long lasting blow dry, we recommend the use of care products specifically designed for your hairstyle. Don’t forget your daily mask and to take care of your ends especially if you want to have hair like Rapunzel.

2. Dry gently
The hair shouldn’t be dried vigorously with a sponge towel. Your hair is like silk, swap your standard towel for a micro-fiber towel and mop your hair to absorb humidity. Also, brush your before applying shampoo on dry hair: this way you will avoid breaking the fibers and avoid any frizz which could ultimately ruin your blow dry.

3. Use your hair dryer
We condone the use of the hair dryer but only the cool air setting. The heat damages the hair and creates rebellious frizz. At the end of your blow dry, adjust your hairdryer to the cool air setting on your hair to fix your straight hair.

4. We like its smoothing serum
We recommend the Liss Active by Franck Provost which protects the hair from humidity and smooths the cuticles and prevents any frizz! This way, the lengths are fixed and your blow dry will last longer.

5. Spray
This step is not obligatory but the spray can help to fix your smooth blow dry: use a flat brush (ideally a boar bristle brush if possible) and apply the spray. Brush your hair.T he end result should be a fixed blow dry without a cardboard effect.
6. Protect your hair in the shower
Although not the most popular choice, a bathing cap is the best way to protect your blow dry in the shower. Your grand-mother will be proud of you.

7. Apply smoothing serum the following morning
The day after your blow dry, revive your hair with a drop of smoothing serum. You will be able to add movement to your hair.
If you have the impression that your roots look or feel a little greasy you can use a bit of dry shampoo – only on the roots.
Avoid spraying water on your hair to style it – you don’t want that frizz!
8. When it is raining
Tie up your hair: a low ponytail is perfect. However, undo your hair once you are protected from the rain – so no hair-tie mark remains. Gently brush your hair to obtain natural movement. If you can’t find a dry place and your hair is wet, use a hair dryer. Your hair will be wild if allowed to dry naturally.
