Lush is a fresh cosmetic and handmade brand. As I heard about its success, I went to one of their store, curious to discover products which scent attract you instantly. Blond and proud of it, I decided to test “Marylin” the hair mask supposed to give hair its brightness back. Here you can read about my experience !
If you put together the words "blond" and "blue eyes", you certainly imagine a blond golden as wheat - unfortunately it is not the beautiful reality that blond women live in. Tired by all the "home made" coloration I made during my adolescence, my hair is now ashen blond, and I am not happy with it. To solve this problem, I tried “Marylin” the Lush brand hair mask, that promises to highlight your hair shade while softening it.
As I was happy to find a fresh product, mainly composed of lemon, camomile and natural extra virgin olive oil, I tried it. The principle is quite simple : after combing your hair, apply uniformly the mask and wait twenty minutes (or an entire night for the studious), then rinse it before washing it normally in the shower. Well ! The method seems easy to me, even the price is nice, it costs only 13,25€ for 225g.
The test !
Once at home, I decided to try it immediately. I had time so it was perfect ! I took the bottle, I opened it and I discovered a viscous matter... that I applied uniformly on my head, as indicated. The smell is pleasant, and the mask sensation is nice. Obviously it doesn't exactly look good on my head but aestheticism is not the aim here. After twenty minutes, I easily rinsed it and I washed my hair with my usual shampoo. After drying my hair, it was soft and the smell was very nice...
Weeks later…
After more or less 6 weeks of use, applying it once a week, I've noticed that the care works. Even if my blond is not the one Marilyn had, it grew lovelier. The result might have been more visible if had let the product on my hair whole nights instead of only twenty minutes. That's what I'll intend to do next time ! The care second promises was kept too, as my hair is softer and lighter.
Result : the “Marylin” mask, I advice it, as it is accessible to any wallet and easy to use !
Little trick : when you buy Lush, they offer you a care sample... me, I got a banana and sweet almond face mask. It was divine, it smelled so good that I almost ate it !
