  • Livecoiffure : Hi Cécilia. Tell us everything, first what is your professional history ?

Cécilia Gimenez : To sum up my professional career, I have been a hairdresser since 1979, I have been working in the nail field since 2009. As an expert, trainer, brand representative, now I am an event organizer in the beauty professions.

Livecoiffure : Could you tell us more about « Nail Art France » ?

Cécilia Gimenez : « Nail Art France » is an event organization which offers many courses with the presence of French and foreign trainers. We organize nail and beauty contests. We also do photo shootings. I created this organization after 36 years experience in the beauty professions.  We had to create this kind of institution so our profession can be highlighted.
In France, we need recognition regarding our professional know how and we need to be pushed forward ! Nail Art France is here to give us new impetus. The foreign trainers give us that strength ! In France, the beauty professions are undervalued. You don’t become a nail stylist twiddling your thumbs but working !
Only the very talented and very passionate persons succeed. In the neighboring poorer countries, they don’t have the same culture but they still want to give the best of themselves !
In other countries, the professionals train twelve hours a day, only a big amount of work can be helpful to succeed in this profession. Talent is not sufficient, you need to work hard !

Livecoiffure. com: Indeed, what is your leitmotiv?

Cécilia Gimenez : I go forward, I am very passionate about my profession.  You always need to question yourself with trainings or current courses adapted to the current market. To practice these professions, one should have predestined aptitudes.
One gains experience through a regular activity and with artists. One must dream and make others dream ! Being an organizer demands a lot of work of discussion and logistics to make the artists come, this is indeed no sinecure ! This profession doesn't enrich you but the inside wealth that you receive is higher than the rest.

Livecoiffure : Could you make a brief summary about the campus programme master in Marseille which took place from 31st October to 3rd November?

Cécilia Gimenez : The campus took place at Framenails in Marseille, it lasted four days. Three international masters trainers with different talents offered the module to the participants. The latter will apply these techniques and be able to advice their clients. The rhythm is very intense.
The participants can learn the latest techniques fast and professionally. They were lucky to have teachers like Marianna Sandor, Léon Cabriales and Barbara Ujvari. They gave the best of themselves and the nine trainees were great ! We had a lot of positive feedback in the end of the courses. A Spanish blog was created We experienced intense moments of emotion, communion. This campus was a moment of generosity,  sharing and happiness !
