LONDON OLYMPIC GAMES 2012
-
For your information, this summer, during the London Olympic Games 2012, hairdresser and colourist from Wella salons are gathered to form an elite team at the service of the athlete’s mums.
This action set set up by P&G (Ariel, Braun, Pampers,), partner of the International Olympic Committee, will offer beauty treatments and hair care to the athletes, to their family and to the media. The temporary salon, created for the event in one of the Professional Wella Studios in the heart of London, will be opened from 25 July to 11 August. More than 25 000 services will be offered by Wella Professionals, Sassoon Professional, Sebastian et Nioxin during the London Olympic Games 2012 to pay homage to the athletes’ mums.
Mrs Tessa Jowell MP, minister of the London cabinet and in charge of the Olympic Games, expresses herself on the initiative of P&G “It’s really a creative idea. For the athletes’ mums, it’s an outcome. Over many years, they have felt not only joy but also many deceptions and anxiety dreaming to have a son or a daughter who excels at a particular sport. Enjoying a moment when they have the right to be pampered and to feel important and not only as a mother of a major competitor, is very special. The “Thank-You Mom” concept is more imaginative than all I’ve ever seen. Some of the mothers have incredible stories to tell and it’s great for all of us, designers and visitors, to be able to share and learn from their experiences”.
