    The launching of the new collection « Essential Looks Spring/Summer 2013 » took place in a Berlin velodrome the 3rd and 4th of March. It was the opportunity to discover “The Colour Buzz Collection”, a series full of emotions, but also to re-launch “Igora Royal”, a real colour innovation of Schwarzkopf professional range of products. Zoom in the new collection and its ambassadors.

    Three thousands guests from fifty countries : a lot a people went to see the “Essential Looks Spring/Summer 2013” collection fashion show of “Colour Buzz collection”, animated by Simon Ellis and international ambassadors ; « Essential Looks » Lesley Lawson for the colour, and Tyler Johnson for hairstyle technique. Each Schwarzkopf Professional artist hairdresser of the represented countries had the opportunity to go on stage and show his skills.  

    When innovation and creation make a pair

    Schwarzkopf mainly finds its inspiration in New-York, Paris, London and Milan 's “Fashion Week”, then the hairstyles and colour are adapted to the clients. The brand innovates while staying tuned to hairdressers, who last idea was to extend the developed concepts seen on stage to their hair salons. Each selected trend has a short hair, long hair and half-long hair version, merging the fashion show styles with hairstyles that people wear in the “every day life”.     Mono Mods, a hairstyle with geometrical outline

    This retro fashion is inspired by the sixties and works stripes, circle and square ; its hairstyles are short and two-coloured with a fringe that attracts one's attention.   White Angles, or when Japanese graphics impose itself  Here, sculptural Japanese shapes are dominant. White Angels proposes graphic lines, strong and bright colours that contrast with a clothing style where white is the usual thing.   Glam Chic, the perfect alliance between natural and sophistication In this universe, tousled hair and beautiful brown shades blend in with a really feminine and very classy clothing look.

    This fashion proposes types that merge with pop, punk and grunge culture while favouring incomplete length, that comes with natural, golden and pastel shades.

    Lesley Lawson, international colour ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional

    Lesley Lawson is one of the most innovatory and creative colour expert in he world, and she brings her expertise to every Essential Looks collection. This talented artist began her career in 1984 in the prestigious “London Hair Academy” and travelled during eighteen years to work in fashion shows, seminars and advertising. Later, she joined the “Real Hair Salon” that will make her combined work in studio and work in hair salon.   In her salon “Real Hair Salon” in Chelsea / London, Lesley Lawson received a lot of celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Elle Macpherson et Lilly Allen. Thanks to her talent, international experience and creative styles, she became, in 2004, an international colour ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional. Lesley Lawson recently said to the brand that : “colour has the power to influence people's look and often to transform a classic hairdo into an extraordinary and gorgeous hairdo. Colour has the power to make women self-confidence.”    

    Tyler Johnson, international hairstyle ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional

    Tyler Johnson began his career in Manchester as hair stylist in the 1980's. As the years go along, he improved his work and became “Art Director” in the famous hair salon  “Knightsbridge” in London. After that, he started to work as freelance and make the cover of some magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair or GQ. In 2001, he was appointed international ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional and stayed “Creative Director” for Essential Looks collections. Tyler Johnson stands out by mixing creative and technical skills and street knowledge. “Working in studio can be identify to the glamour universe but you also have to apply the fundamentals and the strength of hairdressing. You must be able to adapt to every situation”, he said during a Schwarzkopf interview.
