  • The After Life collection by Jérôme Guézou

  • Directed in a forest, in very hard conditions, Jérôme Guézou's new collection is a beauty and a success, a beautiful teamwork !   Imagine a world where everything is destroyed, where every points of reference is lost, it's literally the apocalypse...and then, lost in this isolated forest, frightened and scared survivors are left to themselves. In this hostile forest, three horsewomen and a savage warrior fight to eat, dress and live with great difficulties. After month of wandering, their « apocalyptic neo modern » hair and look were mixed with vegetation, feathers, fur and other animal bones. The collection is an order placed by
    the American magazine UCE
. The original theme : Armageddon. The photo shoot took place in the Fontainebleau forest, in an isolated part because the setting was supposed to be as natural as possible...
The preparations were made directly on the shooting scene, which means in hard conditions, the worst being the lack of electricity ! These out of time hair visuals were a success because of the team imagination, involvement and skills. The outstanding outcome can be summarize in three words: back-combing, clip and fastener. The feathers were found on the spot ! The only things we took with us were the tattered fur and the dry beargrass. There were no comfort nor electricity, so it took us two hours for the four visuals... Fortunately, the weather was on our side ! My assistant, Kevin, came with me, he helped me a lot.   The outcome is exactly the one the photographer Eric Ouaknine had hoped for. As for the UCE magazine, they were delighted with the visuals. Other order has been placed (but we don't know the themes yet)...   Jérôme Guézou for LiveCoiffure
