Flat braid & windblown
the basic idea is simple – imitate a Rasta hairstyle with several braids flattened against the head.
For this variety of African braids, apply sun oil to your hair and comb away from your face. Separate a few locks, making a parting from the hairline up to the crown of the head, then twist each lock until it is wound tightly. Tie with an elastic band or a bobby pin.
The rest of the hair can be left free, brightened with a little shine spray.
Beach opera chignon
why not try this young ballet dancer look? Start with a high pony tail.
Then twist the hair and wind it round the base (the elastic or hair band) and pin the end to ensure it stays in place all day.
Braid craze
the highly popular braid can be used to set any style, whether romantic or graphic.
You can opt for a classic triple braid, cornrows, or a braid band across the top of your head. Make sure you always use hair protection in the sun. Take your pick between a waterproof gel, a spray or oil.
bun
This chignon is much like the ballet dancer one but with additional support.
This comes in the form of a donut which you cover with your hair.
