The festival Japan Touch arrives in Lyon

The festival Japan Touch is getting bigger and invites Asia at Eurexpo Lyon the 8th and 9th November. The Japan Touch, festival of Japanese culture comes back in Lyon for a sixteenth edition and is enriched by the new Salon de l’Asie, unique in Europe. The festival doubles its surface : 22 000 m2 will receive 200 exhibitors, 50 guests and animations for 30 000 visitors expected during two days.
Invitation to the trip
The Japan Touch presents the Japan pop and zen in all its diversity: kimonos, glam-rock and shamisen, video games, tea salon, martial arts, manga, bonsai, Japanese fair... Traditional workshops teaches the public the secrets of ikebana and Asian cuisine. Among the novelties of this sixteenth edition, a village of the franco-asian associations, eight restaurant points and a sake bar. An exhibition on Japanese eroticism (forbidden for people under 18) explores the richness of the Japanese sensuality.
The Salon de l’Asie proposes more than 500 m2 exhibitions and animations : travel diaries, watercolors, tribal costumes, calligraphy, tea ceremony... From Vietnam to China but also South Korea, India, the Asian cultures are in Lyon for a week-end.India, guest of honor of the Salon de l’Asie
Lyon becomes the capital of India through several exceptional animations. On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Indian cinema, the Salon de l’Asie will propose “Si Bollywood m’était conté…”.
This exhibition gathers more than 170 film posters and about 400 authentic pieces (magazines, singing books, pictures, vinyl discs…) revealing the backstage of the Indian cinema. The seven musicians of the Jaipur Maharaja Brass Band will come in the salon, accompanied by a dancer and a fakir. A monumental fresco will be made in live by the last painters of posters of Bombay.Dates and schedule
